Hass Petroleum which is a regional oil marketing company with significant presence in East Africa and the Great Lakes Region has unveiled on Saturday new products in a well-attended exhibition ceremony held in Maansoor Hotel.
The exhibition ceremony of Hass Petroleum’s new products was attended by the Minister of Commerce Dr. Muse Kasim, Deputy Public Works Minister Ali Abdi Saiq, Hass Petroleum country Representative Ali Abdirizak Ibrahim Mohammed, the company’s Kenyan official Eng. James Wakiro and local national chamber Chief Mr. Mohamed Shukri Hulul.
The company’s new products were mainly motor oil and motor lubricants with high quality that they distribute through their extensive network across the country.
The company took by storm local petroleum and its products distribution after Total’s departure from local market.
Mr. Ibrahim expressed his happiness and pleasure on the occasion saying that the company’s products were already amongst those which have been tested well hence excelled in various countries.
“We distribute and market quality products and are prompt tax-payers”, he said.
Former cabinet minister Abdillahi Geeljire noted that the company was the most prominent petroleum dealer in the country and that it is also at the fore-front in social projects especially alms giving.
Hon. Musa welcomed the company’s dutiful gesture of lowering the prices of petroleum products following subsequent world prices plummeting.
“The state sincerely welcomes your action of lowering the prices”, he said.
He called upon local gas stations to follow suit and noted that any popular brands of any products do sell well.
The national commerce chamber boss Mr. Mohammed Shukri Hulul equally welcomed the introduction of the products and personally vouched for their high quality.
Engineer James Wakiro who has worked for the company in Kenya for the past 13 years spoke at length about the quality and indispensible functions of the products that they dealt in.
