Puntland court hands down harsh sentences to Central Somali State supporters

Mogadishu (HOL) – A Court in Puntland sentenced three Somali politicians that hail from the Mudug region to life in prison for attending a regional administration conference in Adado. Another 11 were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the same offence. All 14 persons were not present at the time of the sentence.

The government of Puntland rejected the formation of Central Somali State of Somali as they belief this regional state will endanger their existence.

Those that received Life in prison were Abdiweli Muse Shire,   Abdirizaq Ismail Hassan Darwish and Abdisalaam Abdulkadir Shekhdon.

Those receiving 10 years imprisonment are as follows:

1.   Abdikarim Omar Ismail.

2.   Ali Egal Af-Gab.

3.   Warsame Qolofeey Shiddo.

4.   Hassan Garabeey.

5.   Deeq Mohamuud Qasnso.

6.   Mohamed Barre Nunule.

7.   Adoye Adan Hassan

8.   Huseen Kuluc Mohamud.

9.   Jama Mohamed Ahmed

10.    Abdirashid Mohamed Hersi.

11.   Jama Mohamed Ahmed Sadadad
