Jalila Nadra H. spotted in Turkish capital as she was allegedly seeking to join ISIL in Syria.

A young British woman, who was allegedly bound for Syria to join ISIL, was detained Tuesday at a bus station in Turkish capital Ankara, officials said.

Jalila Nadra H., 22, was detained at the capital’s central bus station during an operation by a counter-terrorism team, police sources said.

After being questioned at the counter-terrorism department, the British citizen was sent to the foreigners’ office, a branch of the Turkish police, for deportation, they added.

This incident comes on the heels of another case where three British teenagers were deported from Turkey after allegedly trying to cross into Syria to join ISIL.

According to Turkish officials, Turkey has deported more than 1,100 Syria-bound foreigners back to their countries since January.
