PressThe Dawan media Group has become the first media publishing house to have brought and installed its own ultra-modern coloured printing press.

Incidentally, the installation of such facility was the pledge and promise made by the administration to fortify and bolster the media industry in the country.

On behalf of the government the chairman and CEO of Dawan Media Group Mr. Mohammed Osman Mire (Seyid) told the press four years ago that it was the objective of DMG to install its own coloured press.

“This could not have been achieved had it not been for the efforts of the Head of State H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud in implementing his pledges”, said Sayid Mire upon the downloading of the machine at the DMG hqs.

“This is a quite important issue that is part and parcel of the implementations of the pledges made by the government led by none other than the President himself H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud Silanyo,” he said.

He explained that this step is a milestone in the state’s plan to develop the media industry in both the public and the private sector.

Mr. Sayid emphasized, “We are indebted to the efforts of the Head of State, VP Saili’i, Information minister Hon. U’kuse and his deputy and also the DG”.

He said that he was happy that everyone was witnessing the printing press’s arrival and its virtual downloading. He explained that for the time being the DMG was indulged into its installation and that he hoped the official launching will be done sooner rather than later.

“When we inaugurate this machine and it starts operation is when we will elaborate on our expectations”, said Mr. Sayid.

The DMG had already constructed a modern tailor-made structural building that would house the machine where publication would take place.

It is expected that the newspapers to roll out of the press would be a major milestone in the history of the country.
