An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted 139 km NW of Kota Ternate, Indonesia at 0750 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 38.46 km, was initially determined to be at 1.6397 degrees north latitude and 126.4488 degrees east longitude.
