Rio Architects come up with a winning design for EIA terminal (Video+Pictures)

Rio Architects team really did it this time, with an all new design for the Egal International Terminal located in Hargeisa.

Rio Architects have won a facade change for Egal International Airport, including passenger tunnel ports. The designs will only up add to the existing structures, building from Somaliland-based, cultural concepts such as the nomad mobile homesteads.

The construction of the new additional extensions to the airport, according to the Minister of Aviation, will not take up much time and will soon be completed.

There is no doubt that with the recent completion of four projects at the EIA comprising of a 1.2+km runway extension, runway lights, the perimeter wall and the fire station, EIA will eclipse many an older airport in the region.
