President meets Somaliland Diplomatic Representatives in 10 countries

Somaliland President, His Excellency, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud “Silanyo” has welcomed ten overseas representatives, who returned home to attend the 2-day diplomatic conference organized and hosted by MOFA- Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place at the presidential mansion on Thursday.

The mission of the gathering was to launch a new strategy aimed at convincing the international community to recognize the aspirations of Somaliland’s quest on an international recognition.

The two-day biennial conference of the diplomatic sector opened on with the purpose of seeking measures to increase the efficiency of external activities and international integration to successfully realize its implementation.
The Somaliland diplomatic mission heads present included the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, the United Arab Emirates, and France
H.E. the Somaliland Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr, Saad Ali Shire, said earlier that Somaliland had 18 representation offices abroad: 5 in Africa, 2 in the Middle East, Asia 1, Australia 1, Europe 6, Americas 2 and an Ambassador-at-large.
