EXCLUSIVE: ISIS killer Abdelqadir Mumin’s wife Muna Abdule claims she was shackled and whipped while being grilled by a mystery man dubbed: “The British interrogator.”

British spies are being sued by a terror leader’s wife who is claiming she was tortured.

Muna Abdule’s accusations could cost the Government up to £1million in damages if proven in court.

The British woman’s allegations against MI6 include that she was shackled, hit with metal cables, and humiliated before being questioned.

Her case against the Foreign Office alleges she was tortured after being detained at an airport in Somalia in 2013 after visiting her husband, al-Shabaab and ISIS killer Abdulqadir Mumin.

Court papers say: “She says she was hooded in a manner which made it painful for her to breathe. She was threatened with being killed… She was frightened and slept little.”

Documents add she was questioned by two men with US accents and one with a British accent.

The papers say she refers to him as “the British interrogator” and claims his information must have come from the UK government.

A High Court judge has allowed the government to apply for the most sensitive parts of the case to be heard in secret.

Mrs Abdule lives in Berkshire but her husband, a Swedish national, was banned from the UK in 2010 due to his support for terror group al-Shabaab.

Radical Mumin, thought to be in Somalia with an ISIS-related group, had links to the British terrorist who was known as Jihadi John, who was killed in Syria in 2015.

The UK has been accused of complicity in the torture of Brits in several countries, and has paid out more than £20million in compensation to up to 20 claimants.

Mrs Abdule’s lawyer Shubhaa Srinivasan told the Mirror: “Despite the Government’s insistence it eschews torture, my client’s case… tells a different story.”

The Foreign Office declined to comment.
