His Excellency the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud ‘Siilaanyo’, today, bid his long-time friend and supporter, Mohamed Abdi Adan ‘Iskeerse’, final adieu at the Heedho cemetery where he was interred today in a stately, nationally honored manner.
A Good number of politicians who had worked with the President on differing capacities came to pay him courtesy greetings – a phenomenon that is symbolic of Somalilanders’ respect for leaders and love for reconciliation.
Among the callers were ministers who stampeded out with Hersi Al Haj Hassan, the then Minister for the Presidency, following the endorsement that the President gave to Musa Behi’s ruling party candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections in 2017.
