The blast at the arena in Manchester, England, which officials are investigating as an act of terrorism, would be one of the deadliest such attacks in Western Europe since 2015.
Five of the attacks involved gunmen, and four used a vehicle as a weapon, including the attack last year on the promenade in Nice, France, that killed 84. The Manchester attack would be one of three that used explosives.
