Hodan Nalayeh of Integration TV and Husband Die In Kismayo Hotel Raid


The latest information emerging from a hotel which the Al Qaeda-linked, Al Shabaab militants raided late afternoon in the coastal Somalia city of Kismayu disclose that the death toll is rising but cannot be factually reported up to this moment as fighting for supremacy for the hotel grounds is still on.

Sources say that among the confirmed dead is the founder of Integration TV, Hodan Nalayeh and her husband, Farid Jama Suleiman, a former minister of Commerce minister of the Jubbaland Federal State of Somalia, whose capital, Kismayo, the hotel was located.

Al Shabaab fighters have stormed Hotel Asasey where a meeting of legislators was in progress.

Hodan was born in Las Anod, Somaliland, in 1976. she is part of a large family of 4 brothers and 7 sisters.

The family immigrated to Canada in 1984 and eventually settled in Edmonton.

Hodan was not only a media person who has acquired over a hundred thousand followers on each of her social media accounts but an ardent campaigner on social issues, especially as they related to women welfare.

Hodan was, also, a nature lover whose sharp eye recorded the most exquisite images of her passion.

According to the bits and pieces coming out from the city, the police is is still battling out with the fighters inside the hotel compound.
